An ever-increasing number of owners of motoryachts built by Van den Hoven Jachtbouw have found their way home to our shipyard for refits, renovations and upgrades over recent years.
A refit is a complex process that involves updating, repairing, renovating or upgrading various components of a motoryacht. Unlike regular maintenance, a refit can include a complete overhaul of everything from the yacht’s exterior structure to her interior design. Keeping a motoryacht valuable and functional requires adapting to modern standards as well as the owner’s personal preferences.

Refit of Pacific Van den Hoven 1600
In early October, we completed a refit of a Pacific Van den Hoven 1600 that was first launched in 2005. The yacht was repainted, fitted with a new convertible top and bimini, reupholstered, and the teak deck was sanded and re-rubbered. In addition, the hull enjoyed a wide range of maintenance activities, along with many minor repairs to ensure the yacht remains in tip-top condition for years to come.
Voyager 61 upgrade
In mid-March, we completed a major upgrade of a Voyager 61 for owners who purchased the yacht in 2021. Their goal was to make various modifications that would enhance their personal onboard experience. These included installing a passerelle that makes boarding and disembarking easier and redesigning the hydraulic swim platform to their individual specifications. Another new feature added during the project was an electric winch for tightening the mooring lines.

Refit of Van den Hoven Exclusief 1600
This timeless Van den Hoven Exclusive 1600, built in 2010, arrived at our yard in week 13 for a comprehensive refit at the owner’s request. The yacht is undergoing major updates to bring her up to the very latest standards. We are installing two spud poles, completely renovating the bathrooms, integrating a state-of-the-art air conditioning system, and upgrading the navigation systems to meet today’s highest standards. We aim to deliver this fully upgraded Van den Hoven Exclusive 1600 back to her proud owner by the end of June.
