Largest Executive to date ordered
THE FIRST EXECUTIVE 2400
Van den Hoven has received an exciting new order to build the first 24-metre Executive for a repeat client. This will be a milestone moment for the yard as we create our largest yacht to date. Construction will begin in mid-January and delivery is slated for the summer of 2026.
As this edition of Items went to press the designs were still being finalised to ensure that the interior layout fully meets the owner’s preferences. The client is an experienced yachtsman who was the proud owner of a Van den Hoven Executive 1700 before commissioning the Executive 2100 Chihuahua in 2019.
As with his previous yacht, the new Executive 2400 will not have a flybridge. Her maximum clearance height of 3.90 metres will ensure an easy passage when navigating European bridges.
Convenience for the skipper
Although there is enough space onboard to accommodate a crew, this yacht will be operated by the owner and therefore be fully tailored to his comfort and convenience. A range of systems will make the boat relatively simple to sail and dock. For instance, she will be fitted with fully hydraulic systems, including a hydraulic bow and sternthruster, hydraulic stabilizers and hydraulic anchor winches. The first Executive 2400 will also have a modern appearance, with more glass incorporated into the design than has been the case with previous Executive models.
Abundance of space
Having lots of interior space available has been a top priority for the owner of the new Executive 2400 during her development and the results so far are impressive. She will have only one or two cabins, which makes the yacht feel even more spacious and accessible.
